DAY 8 (page 2 of 2): Saturday, August 19, 2006 Dylan joins Kevin for the final leg.	< back \| journal > Welcome back to our sixth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer! We planned to finish at the Ottawa Locks by 5:00, and so far we were making good time. Since we had time, the support boat was able to stop at Moonies Bay to collect more donations. Meanwhile the group was chanting "Kayaking for.....CANCER" and shouting out other "sound offs". Kevin and George had some interesting ones.
Micheline and Papa Ron.	A large group of family and friends were on hand to great us as we arrived at the Ottawa Locks. The "A" channel and Electric Sky were also there for interviews. Jessica Kendrick, a volunteer from The Canadian Cancer Society was on hand to accept our cheque for $32,000.00. This brings our six year total to over $200,000.00. Thank you to everyone who has donated.
