August 9, 2008: Launch kayaks from the Kingston General Hospital

DAY 1 (page 1 of 5): Saturday, August 10, 2002

8:01 am
- Micheline and Jessie start packing the coolers

And so it begins! The second annual Kayaking for Cancer is officially underway!

K4C has more than doubled this year with 26+ kayakers and 12+ road crew. Once again, we'll be making our way from Kingston to Ottawa via the Rideau Canal, a total of eight days and 202 km of paddling.

It should be a great week with lots of fun and adventure! We'll be sure to fill you in on all of the excitement!

8:12 am - Sherri, Kayleigh, Steve, Kristi, Michelle, Ashley are ready to go

It was a very early morning -- most of us rolled out of bed before the crack of dawn to make our way to the starting point in Brockville, Ontario. Here we had a chance to mingle and meet each other before heading to our launch point in Kingston. It's pretty amazing -- once again family and friends have come from all over Ontario to paddle in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.
