DAY 8 (page 1 of 2): Saturday, August 19, 2006 Breakfast at Long Island Locks	< back \| next > Welcome back to our sixth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer! The last day is here. Michelle & Andrew made a great breakfast this morning and Donna & Ron brought a huge caraffe of coffee for us. Thanks everyone. After breakfast we broke camp and loaded the trucks for the last time this year. We launched the kayaks into Long Island Lock and paddled for Black Rapids.
The last day's paddle begins.	We stopped at Black Rapids for lunch provided by today's sponsor Robinson's Your Independant Grocer of Manotick. Great as usual. After lunch it's back in the water for the final leg. Only two sets of locks to go.
