Welcome back to our eighth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!

Today the weather was not so nice. The kayakers were wet and cold by the time they reached Smiths Falls. Everyone was happy to get out of the water to dry off and warm up. The Tim Horton's on Beckwith Street, Smiths Falls provided us with hot coffee and it was a huge hit. Margo at the Smiths Falls Parks and Recreation Dept. arranged to unlock the access to the covered picnic shelter so that we could use it to eat under. Speaking of eating, we have a lot of people to thank for today's meal - Elma & Gus Heidemann, Jennifer Brown, Julia Kelso, Leah Thompson, Father Alfred Alilio, Sheri Camillone and Lidia Lefebre. Some of these people have kayaked with us in the past and this is their way of continuing as part of the k4c family. Thank you everyone.
