Welcome back to our eighth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!

After lunch we continued to the finish line. The Rideau Canoe Club was having a Regatta today in Mooney's Bay. So naturally we stopped in. The kayakers chanted songs and explained to the crowd that we had left Kingston eight days ago to "Kayak for Cancer". As soon as Uncle Mike mentioned the donation bucket, a flood of people came down to donate. There was an actual line of people waiting to put money in the bucket. Thank you Rideau Canoe Club. We hope you have your Regatta on the same day next year.
We crossed the finish line just after 5:00 and there we presented a cheque for $40,000 to Ashley Taylor of the Canadian Cancer Society. Another sucessful year. This brings our eight year total to over $250,000 raised.
And then, all of a sudden, it was over! But we're not done yet. We'll be back in 2009.
