Welcome back to our eighteenth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!

What a privilege it has been to paddle again this year with dedicated K4C companions, both newbies and veterans. This was my seventh year yet the journey remains as meaningful as ever. Sadly, each year the list of people I paddle for and carry on my deck whether in memory or to honour their survivorship or brave ongoing battles with cancer grows a little longer. Neighbour Michelle, Erika (both recently deceased), and friend Ann were front of mind this year, and as always Jocelyn, now a nine-year survivor. Each paddler and support group member has her or his own stories to share along the way, there are tears and laughter, rain and sun, long days and shorter, but most importantly shared dedication to supporting the fight against cancer.
