Later in the evening, the team went out to enjoy a few pints, and some air conditioning, at one of the local watering holes in Merrickville. It was good to feel part of civilization again, however brief.

But, the big treat in this stopover, besides the Creemore and wings, was a huge buffet breakfast at the Sam Jakes Inn. It was nice to have a break from eating off of paper plates and using plastic cutlery for a meal.
