9:27 am - Putting in, in front of the Lion's Club campground

Up early, the K4C gang took full advantage of being near civilization and breakfasted at the renowned Sam Jakes Inn. The official word is that they have a great breakfast....and air conditioning! Ahhhhh.

With 28 km to paddle today, the boats and paddlers hit the water in time for the 9:15 am lock.

CJOH, a CTV affiliate, was on site to film the departure and have indicated they may be following our progress from here on into Ottawa --- watch for us!
