Welcome back to our sixth consecutive year of Kayaking for Cancer!

We had a good paddle this afternoon, arriving in Merrickville before 6:00 pm. We are well past the half way mark now. As usually happens in Merrickville, we were warmly greeted by lots of family and friends and then we had a great meal sponsored by Ron & Donna Barnes.

Merrickville is the first time on the annual trip that we stay overnight in a town. Up until now we have camped at lock stations that are a lot more remote. For a lot of us, today is the first time we get to see our family and friends since we left Kingston last Saturday. Some of us live in the area and can go home to sleep in our own beds, for others this calls for a night out!
