Quite a few reporters and a cameraman came to
check us out at Hurst. This is also where we exchanged
the motor boat for a nice, cushy pontoon boat.
A few of the road crew jumped on board for the
afternoon voyage to Long Island Locks.
We had a lot of very generous people come out
on their docks and stop us with donations for
the Cancer Society. It's quite a sight for people
to see 30 kayakers paddle by in unison.
The kayakers reached Long Island around 6:30
pm. It was 33C today and with the sun reflecting
off the water, the team was baking again out there.
Everybody's pretty much bushed tonight but seeing
as its our last night, the group will spend some
time hanging out tonight before hitting the hay.
